Community Initiatives

The Disabled and Disadvantaged Artists Association

In 2008, Blue Zoo worked with The Disabled and Disadvantaged Artists Association of Western Australia to assist with the development of a corporate leasing program for artwork. The assistance program culminated in a Blue Zoo hosted corporate function involving many business partners and customers. With dozens of people in attendance, interest in the program was strong and several works of art were purchased on the evening. See Here

Thie Gieu Diac Orphanage (Vietnam)

In 2008, one of the Company Directors will visit the Gieu Diac Orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The purpose of the visit is to make a contribution to the ongoing operation of the facility, both financially and through a short volunteering assignment.

Kiva Sponsorships

Blue Zoo cultural advisors are responsible for administering a corporate trust account established with the aim of delivering microfinance aid to entrepreneurs in developing economies. All Blue Zoo staff donate a component of their salary towards this initiative, with the funds placed into micro finance partners managed by the Kiva Foundation. See Here

Committee of Entrepreneurs
Loans that change lives. The Committee of Entrepreneuring Women is a program carried out by Fundación Paraguaya which targets groups of enterprising women who create a village bank through which they receive assistance in terms of loans. The main goal is to give them the opportunity to carry out economic activities which enable them to live in dignity and contribute to a better quality of life in their homes.
